Florida Libertarians to gather in Lakeland in June for state convention

The Libertarian Party of Florida will gather in Lakeland, Florida on the weekend of June 11 through June 13, 2021 to hold their annual business meeting and convention. The convention will open with Libertarian Party 2020 presidential nominee Jo Jorgensen and vice presidential nominee Spike Cohen addressing the crowd in the evening of June 11, 2021.

The business of the political party will start on Saturday morning and continue until Sunday. There will many items up for vote such as electing various officers to the party’s executive committee. There will also be various vendors such as the popular Taggart Trading which specializes in gold and silver coins and bullion. Also during the convention there will plenty of strategizing on how to grow the party and how to become a recognized major party, working to leave behind its minor party status with the State of Florida. Training for candidates and the party’s county affiliates will be available besides educating the public of about the Libertarian Party of Florida’s platform and principles.

We expect the highlight of the convention to be the Saturday evening dinner with Jo Jorgensen. That said, there will be a lunch on Saturday with the ever-popular Tom Woods who is well known in libertarian circles. There will also be a presentation by the Gun Owners of America, a breakfast with Spike Cohen, another breakfast with Scott Thrasher, and presentations from Scott Horton and Libertarian Trivia with Caryn Ann Harlos who is secretary for the national Libertarian Party.
