Palm Beach County keeps the same people in office

Election 2020 was less about change and more about keeping the same people in office. While we wait to hear about who will be in the White House for the next four years, county representatives will not change much.

The following are unofficial results and full results should be in later today, and certified results will be on November 17, 2020, when the canvassing board meets.

Brian Mast, Alcee Hastings, Lois Frankel, and Ted Deutch keep seats in the U.S. House of Representatives. For Florida State Senate, Tina Polsky, Gayle Harrell, and Lori Berman won last night. Kelly Skidmore will go back to Tallahassee representing District 81 as Florida State Rep. John Snyder, Rick Roth, Matt Whillhite, David Silvers, Omar Hardi, Mike Caruso, Joseph Casello, and Emily Slosberg won their respective races for Florida State House.

Ric Bradshaw will stay on as the county sheriff, as will Ann Gannon as the county’s tax collector. Dave Kerner, Maria Sachs, Maria Marino, and Mack Bernard won their races for Palm Beach County Commission.

Last, for Palm Beach County’s Soil & Water Conservation District, Ann Sorrell, Jon Shaw, and Rob Long gain terms as Supervisors on the board.
