The Libertarian Party of Florida has issued its 2020 voter guide for Florida voters. The party weighed in on how voters should vote on the six proposed amendments that will appear on the ballot for Florida voters. The Palm Beach Examiner issued its own voter guide earlier this month.
The Libertarian Party of Florida is not taking a position on Amendments 4 and 6. On Amendment 1, they are suggesting voters to vote NO as it “changes nothing since non-citizens already can not vote in state-wide elections. It does however prevent local governments from ever allowing non-citizens to vote in local elections.”
On Amendment 2, the Libertarian Party of Florida is suggesting to voters to vote NO as it “would actually reduce the number of jobs, impacting the lowest-paid among us. It would raise costs of goods and services for all of us.”
On Amendment 3, the Libertarian Party of Florida suggests voters vote NO as it “could prevent Libertarian Party and other Third-Party candidates from appearing on General Election ballots, leaving elections almost entirely in the hands of the two major parties. Only one major party could be on ballots.”
On Amendment 5, the Libertarian Party of Florida suggests voters vote NO as it “Save Our Homes created an even more inequitable tax system and further complicated Florida’s incomprehensible tax code. This makes it even more incomprehensible.”
