Adidas adds vegan shoes to its product line

Adidas has announced a line of shoes that use synthetic material instead of leather, making them vegan. They make the shoes with vegan materials to advocate for a better future through the elimination of animal products.

The vegan shoes are available with the familiar Adidas classic trainers, including the Superstar, Stan Smith, Continental 80 and Supercourt versions with sustainable materials in keeping with Adidas’ commitment to ending plastic waste.

They contrast the infamous white leather trainer with pops of colour in the laces and on the sole and the primary focus of this new collection is on Primegreen, in which the production requires high-performance materials where 50 percent of the materials are recycled content. These shoes have a 70 percent recycled material content in the upper part of the shoe, with the sole being made of reclaimed and renewable rubber.
