One of the biggest food trends in recent years — the rising popularity of food trucks — is going from local street corner to national spotlight during a cross-country recipe competition featuring 50 food trucks, including local truck Curbside Gourmet who will battle it out to create America’s best breakfast recipe. Some other accolades of Curbside Gourmet include the 2013 winner of the Robert Irvine Food Truck Impossible competition at the Palm Beach Food and Wine Festival. As part of the Thomas’ Breakfast Battle, Curbside Gourmet Food Truck will utilize Thomas’ iconic English Muffins and Bagels to create the ultimate breakfast recipe inspired by the cuisine of their food truck. And, beginning on September 12, local fans of Curbside Gourmet Food Truck will have one week to vote online at ThomasBreakfastBattle.com to ensure their local food truck makes it into the next round of competition that narrows the pool from 50 to the top 25.
