Shiner Law Group® has launched a safety educational program for children, featuring Shiner the Shark®, a fun and approachable mascot. The program raises awareness of all things safety, whether kids are at the beach, the playground or at home. Fire, health and travel safety are also covered.
Up-to-date safety education is presented by the program mascot, Shiner the Shark®, who helps children from pre-K through middle school learn in a fun and memorable way, with safety guides, activities and more. Topics covered by Shiner the Shark include:
Water – beach and pool safety steps, such as the meaning of lifeguard flag colors and proper use of life preservers.
Fire – all about fire drills and fire prevention, including knowing where exits are located and what to do in case of fire.
Travel – important details on bus, car and airplane safety, plus information to remember when traveling and how to recognize law enforcement officers.
Health and fitness – information on food groups and the importance of exercise and a balanced, healthy diet.
Child safety – all about keeping kids safe, avoiding choking hazards, proper use of car seats and tips for online safety.
David I. Shiner explained the purpose of Shiner the Shark® is to increase children’s awareness of basic safety rules and guides, and to keep kids safe. “Shiner Law Group takes safety seriously, but wanted to present this important information in a fun and easy-to-remember way,” he said. “We developed our Shiner the Shark® educational program to fit a need in our community and to ensure that all children know how to keep themselves and their friends safe.”
